Café to Accept Starbucks Gift Cards in Attempt to Steal Their Business

Turning to a rather strange business ploy, a Texas café has decided to accept Starbucks gift cards Managed Network. According to Eater, Stupid Good Coffee in Dallas will take Starbucks gift cards to entice customers to visit the shop instead of a nearby Starbucks. "Sometimes I'll see regular customers in the hallway clutching a Starbucks cup ... And a lot of the times they'll say, 'Well, somebody gave me a gift card!'" owner Daniel Simon explained. While the plan might be a good way to get more people in his store, Simon knows that it's not exactly a great way to make money. He admits the promotion is "not really advantageous for us in a long-term sense," but he hopes that the idea will "really get [the shop's] name out there." No word yet on how long the promotion will last hong kong heritage cycling tour.

Cook Out to Help Out and Operation Santa

Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing fine. The day to day goes by relatively routinely over in my corner of this dusty little city (and I mean dusty in an endearing way, at least to me). Work (lots happening there...of which I won't bore you with details, fret not), kids, school, play. My mother has moved into our building (now there's news!) and has managed, even before moving in, to become the chairman (chairperson) of our building association. If you don't know anything about my mother...that fact would pretty much say it all. Ok, that and the awesome cocido that she makes. And that she has crates of cava squirrelled away Property investment portal. My mom...you've just got to love her. Our already interesting neighborhood just got that more interesting.

Life here goes on, on its merry, although mostly unglamorous, way. We can't say the same for many of our countrymen, who are still in miserable conditions, entrenched in the unforgiving aftermath of that deadly storm.

And here, on the other side, in these areas that were not affected, we watch helplessly. We do the best we can, we share our time, our resources, anything we can, as much as we can. We sometimes can't see how it will ever be enough lace and embroidery.

Yes, life goes one, despite our guilt, either acknowledged or just under the surface, that we are lucky enough to have it go on. Yes, this guilt doesn't help, but we cannot deny its existence, whether it be a burgeoning emption that has all but taken your appetite or small little hiccups of it under the surface, that only appear when no one is watching.

If you have been anywhere near social media in these parts, you know that there is a plethora of contradicting voices. What could have been done. What should have been done. Finger pointing. Disc protrusion no problem for Bale

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has said Gareth Bale is fit for selection when Los Blancos host Malaga on Saturday despite the fact the 24-year-old has a slight disc protrusion in his back.

Bale stayed in the Spanish capital to carry out a mini pre-season with the club's physical preparation team over the recent international break in a bid to rid himself from the niggling muscular injuries that have blighted his fledgling career at Realhome organizer online.

And Ancelotti said he knows from personal experience that a disc protrusion should have no impact on the Welshman's performance on the fieldadd hair.

"Bale is available for tomorrow," the Italian told a press conference on Friday dermes.

"He doesn't have a back problem, his problem was the lack of a pre-season. If you look at his last four years he has played more than 120 games.

"He is working very well every day, now he is in much better condition and he is ready to play.

"I have personal experience of the problem, I had three protrusions and it never hindered my ability to play. Many players have this problem."

The former Chelsea boss also rebuffed criticism from Wales manager Chris Coleman that he had unnecessarily rushed Bale into action by starting him on his debut against Villarreal on September 14.

That was the only time that Bale has started a match so far this season, but Coleman had used the former Spurs man for the final half hour of Wales' 3-0 defeat to Serbia just four days previously.

"I have read that I was crazy to play him against Villarreal, but I wasn't the first one who played him, that was his national team manager. He didn't have any problems in Villarreal. It was afterwards that he suffered the thigh strain."

Of more concern for Ancelotti on the injury front is the status of French internationals Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema ahead of a huge week for Real.

Ancelotti's men host Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday before travelling to face Barcelona next weekend.

Varane will definitely miss the clash with Malaga, whilst Alvaro Morata is in contention to start up front as Benzema is carrying a knock.

Optoma’s UHD60 projector delivers great, affordable 4K performance

If you’re among those who use a projector for your home theater, you haven’t really had a great option for jumping on the 4K bandwagon, and you might be feeling left out now that the high-resolution tech is more common among TV manufacturers. But now there’s a great, relatively affordable way to get onboard 4K with a projection-based setup, thanks to Optoma’s new UHD60.
The UHD60 is the lower priced of two new 4K projectors Optoma first revealed at CES, and recently put on sale. Priced at $1,999, the UHD60 offers 4K thanks to a new Texas Instruments DLP chip. And while it’s true that this chip actually uses some software processing to double the resolution of its actual 2,716 x 1,528 output signal, thus achieving UHD, you’ll never know you’re not looking at a true 4K image – even if you’re already used to a 4K LCD or OLED TV.
I’ve been testing the Optoma UHD60 for a couple of weeks now, and it has really blown me away in terms of how much of a difference it makes vs. even very good full HD resolution projector hardware. The difference is immediately apparent, offering a sharpness that to my eyes was similar to the difference between Retina resolution and what came before on Apple computers and smartphones. Included below are some images, and while it’s hard to convey the effect of actually seeing it in person, keep in mind that this is being displayed at about 140-inches on a standard, white-painted wall – during the day with some light leak from outside.
Getting that image quality wasn’t hard, either: Optoma’s focusing controls (on the lens itself) and zoom and height adjustment features were all easy to find and use, and I had the picture geometry and orientation tuned to my liking within about five minutes of unboxing the unit neo skin lab derma21.
Another highlight here is brightness. The UHD60 boasts 3,000 lumens, which makes for a very bright picture that’s visible even during the daytime with some ambient light filtering in. It also delivers very clear blacks, both on a portable Epson screen made for projector use, and on a blank white wall. Wall color tonal presets are also built-in, so you can configure it for a range of projection surfaces cheap wood bookcase.
Combined with sources like the Nvidia Shield TV, which outputs 4K HDR content from Netflix, Amazon Video and Google Play Movies, this is the best projector I’ve ever used, and a way to finally upgrade to 4K for projector-based home theaters. It also worked great with content from the PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as my Bell Fibe TV 4K box, and from a high-end Falcon Tiki gaming PC powered by an Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU china vpn.
Here’s the bottom line: If you’ve been waiting for 4K in a projector, this is the one to get. It’s about double the size of your average home theater projector, so be cognizant of the physical footprint, but it supports a wide range of mounting options and projection angles, so you should be able to get it working for your existing setup with relative ease. The Optoma UHD60 delivers unrivaled image quality at this price (and beats a lot of higher priced options), while also offering HDR support and decent onboard speakers.

Apple is signaling a huge fourth quarter and Wall Street is loving it

Apple set its expectations for the fourth quarter above what Wall Street was looking for today in its earnings report — just in time for a huge iPhone launch coming up soon.

Apple said it expected to generate between $49 billion and $52 billion in the fourth quarter. The midpoint of that falls above what Wall Street expected — around $49.2 billion — and it alludes to a big quarter where Apple has traditionally unveiled a new iPhone. The next one is expected to be a huge redesign, which could reignite Apple’s stalling growth engine. Ahead of this, Apple has relied on growth in the rest of its product portfolio, particularly in services. Apple’s Services bucket includes products like Apple Music and iTunes phone covers.

All this means that the company is expecting to rake in a nice bit of cash sooner than we might have expected. The stock is up more than 5 percent after the report, tacking on additional gains to an already solid year for the company. This huge quarter means that Apple has now hit an all-time high. Any jump for Apple — especially one as “large” as 5 percent — can add tens of billions of dollars to its market cap.

And speaking of predictable, the company’s services grew 22 percent year-over-year. It generated around $7.3 billion in revenue from the company’s soon-to-be-a-Fortune-100-company division according to CEO Tim Cook, up from nearly $6 billion in the third quarter last year.

For now, Apple is in a complete holding pattern. The next iPhone iteration is expected to be a radical change in design — possibly the biggest one since the company made the phones a whole lot larger. Those significant changes, should they tap into latent demand like it did with its larger phones, end up driving massive growth for the company. But the downside to all this anticipation for the phone is that a ton of people are holding out on buying new phones, which is where Apple generates most of its business cloud computing hong kong.

It’s done a few things to offset that recently, such as launching new variations of its iPad that are larger and more suited to enterprises. That may, in the future, be a play to get inside companies, but for now, they are more or less pretty glass slates that are very large and work well with a little stick.

Here’s another story line we weren’t necessarily expecting: the iPad is growing again. Apple said it sold 11.4 million iPads in the third quarter of 2017 — up from 10 million iPads in the third quarter last year. While unit sales are up, what’s worth noting is that the company actually saw an increase in revenue year-over-year. It was a 2 percent jump, so it’s pretty marginal, but any signs of life in the iPad is a good sign for Apple as it looks to have a complete portfolio of devices that can coexist and grow with the iPhone Wigs for Cancer Patients Bright Hopes.

Apple also beat expectations across the rest of the board. Wall Street overall was expecting $44.89 billion in revenue and earnings of $1.57 per share. The company said it brought in $1.67 per share in earnings and revenue of $45.4 billion. Apple said it sold 41 million iPhones, about in line with what Wall Street was looking for at 41.1 million iPhones. It also sold 4.3 million Mac units.

While Apple holds out for those phones and the hope that they will end up being blockbusters for the company, it’s trying to build out consistent revenue streams. That includes watches, a set-top box, a music streaming service and an array of other products that can help create a more predictable line of revenue. Predictable is great for Wall Street, as it means that the company will have a regular flow of cash to invest in those big swing-for-the-fences products — though Apple is an edge case given that it is sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars in cash.
